September 2021 Sneaker Releases

Nike September Releases

Nike September Releases

September 2nd – Nike Dunk Low ‘Georgetown’

There are a few earlier dunks that have similar colorways, but none are quite like the Georgetown, with its cool grey and dark blue colorway. The most memorable was the Atmos Dunk Low released in 1999.

With all the dunk retros that have come out this year, you will want to get your hands on these covetable Nike editions retailing for just $100 USD.

September 3rd – Nike Dunk High ‘Midnight Navy’

This new release resembles the Kentucky Dunk Hi from the Be True To Your School Nike campaign. While simplistic in its two-tone design, this release may be surprisingly popular and difficult to purchase. The anticipated price to score a pair is $110 USD.

September 4th – Social Status x Nike Dunk Mid ‘Chocolate Milk’

It’s very rare for Nike to release a mid-top sneaker that doesn’t have the ankle strap. This sneaker will add itself to the rare strapless mid, it also features a very 3-dimensional swoosh and almost rope-like laces. It is a very cool colorway that plays into all the different shades of chocolate. There has been no price listed just yet!

September 8th – Fragment Design x Sacai x Nike LDWaffle

This will definitely be one of the more hyped releases of the month. Following the navy blue release of this same shoe will be a very calm grey! Sacai’s Nike Waffle silhouette has now planned to go into a collaboration with all other Asian brands that are on contract with Nike as well. We should all be expecting to see more multi-brand collaborations in the near future! The retail price of this sneaker will be $170.

TBD in September – Nike Dunk Low ‘Quartersnacks’

Nike pays homage to Little Debbie’s Zebra Cakes in this cool black and white edition. No date has been announced just yet, but we should expect this to be a limited release. This is one of those rare sneakers with considerable nostalgia that people will always covet .

TBD in September – Sacai x Jean Paul Gaultier Nike Vaporwaffle

Sacai’s Nike silhouettes have really shaken things up and made a name for themselves. Jean Paul Gaultier was not a collaboration that anyone saw coming but leaked photos showcase this is a shoe worth snagging.

From the unique details, cool patterns and fun colorways you can clearly see Jean Paul Gaultier’s influence.

Jordan September Releases

Jordan September Releases

September 3rd – Air Jordan 4 ‘Shimmer’

This women’s exclusive shoe takes inspiration from the beauty of neutral shades, often found in makeup. From pale nudes to darker oranges and accents of metallics, this sneaker is likely to fly off the shelves. To grab a pair, expect to pay about $190 USD.

September 4th – Air Jordan 6 ‘Bordeaux’

With the Bordeaux 7s success upon release, the question for this launch is will the popularity of this colorway last with the silhouette of the Air Jordan 6? Jordan sneakers sometimes sit for a while before they gets the love and attention they deserve.

With its eclectic mix of graphite, black, white, with accents of its namesake color, bordeaux, this pair is a must-have in our book for $190 USD.

September 9th – Billie Eilish x Air Jordan 1 KO

The highly anticipated collaboration has been teased for quite some time, and we are excited for its release day this month. The Air Jordan KO would not be most artists’ first choice for a collaboration. However, Eilish is anything but basic ever since she first started to make waves in the music industry.

Billie’s KO is a stunning fully monochromatic volt color that features leather, canvas, and a cool quilted pattern. We expect this collab to sell fast!

September 11th – Air Jordan 1 ‘Prototype’

This women’s sneaker strongly resembles the iconic Union Jordan 1 highs with its unique multi-color design. When the Union Jordan 1s debuted in 2018, it was nearly impossible to get your hands on a pair, so we are excited to see this colorway back and refreshed for women. Perfect for fall, these sneakers will retail for $170 USD.

September 11th – Air Jordan 5 ‘Oreo’

This sneaker’s debut comes as a pleasant surprise. Usually, it takes Jordan Brand a decade or so to retro a colorway of a sneaker. However, the Oreo 5 was first released in 2013. While its original launch didn’t produce much fanfare until Black Friday.

Our experts are excited to see if more people will gravitate towards this edition from the get-go. If you love this sneaker, don’t wait to grab it in your size for a cool $190 USD.

September 18th – Air Jordan 13 ‘Obsidian’

Similar to the ‘Bordeaux’ Jordan 6 and 7 we see Jordan trying their successful colorways on a different silhouette. The wildly popular Obsidian Jordan 1 was a blue medley that people really gravitated to and we anticipate they’ll gravitate toward the 13 as well.

September 23rd – Off White x Air Jordan 2 Low

This release will likely be the biggest drop of the month, and maybe even the top 10 of the year. Virgil is still releasing Nike collabs that people can’t get enough of and this edition is no exception.

The Air Jordan 2 features something truly exciting that Nike has never done before: paying homage to the aging of a 1986 OG Chicago Jordan 2.

For the aged look to the midsole, they did a 3D scan of the OG, and printed it onto the midsole. This gives it a cracked and aged look. Everyone will want to get their hands on this sleek and unique pair.

Yeezy September Releases

Yeezy September Releases

TBD in September – Yeezy 350 V2 ‘MX Rock’

Kanye loves to surprise us, so it’s no surprise that the release date of the latest 350s is still under wraps. Kanye has really evolved the 350 V2 in many different ways and this one may be the best yet. It features an almost marbling of colors and just a hint of 3m throughout. Like all the other 350s before it, it will most definitely sell out.

TBD in September – Yeezy Quantum ‘Onyx’

Featuring a primeknit upper in black and grey, with reflective paneling in the heel, Yeezy’s latest sneakers distinguishes itself with a marbled print to its black aesthetic. There will be no performance version of this shoe available, as it’s a lifestyle only edition. The expected retail of Kanye’s latest basketball sneakers is $250 USD.

Every month our Head of Sneakers, Courtney Wilkins, will be sharing her list and recommendations of sneaker launches to have your eye on. So whether you’re looking for Air Jordan release dates, Nike’s next drops and more, stay tuned for a new list to ring in every month of the year.

New Balance September Releases

New Balance September Releases

September 10th – Joefreshgoods x New Balance 990v3 ‘OutsideCloths’

This sneaker had an early release in Chicago where Joefreshgoods is from but will release this month worldwide. His first New Balance collaboration currently goes for upwards of $2,000 on the re-sale market! This release is said to be larger, but expect the re-sale prices to stay pretty high. If you are able to get your hands on a pair at retail, expect a price of $220 USD.
